Hello… I’m Candice Zen, a London-based hairstylist, haircutter and colourist. I trained in London at the prestigious Vidal Sassoon Academy in 2007, and have since trained and worked in some of London’s best salons. I did further national vocational training in barbering and men’s hairdressing in 2014. I participate in on-going colour training and use professional Wella colouring products. I also style hair for weddings and special events, and have a particular interest in vintage hairstyling.
I’m based at central London salon Hair Colour Studio near Kings Cross on Saturdays only. From Tuesday to Friday, I currently offer a mobile hairdressing service for London clients at home as well as 45 min online hair and scalp consultations for clients in the UK and worldwide.
I am also an entrepreneur and run Totem Hair, a hairdressing service for company employees Wednesday – Friday.
My interests include historical and vintage hairstyles and costume, Japanese flower arranging, travel and history. I have a good eye for proportions and colours.
This customer grew his hair through lockdown and told me he now wanted to donate it to @littleprincesstrustcharity (they make make wigs for cancer sufferers). He definitely had a lot of hair to donate - took me an hour to get through it! Swipe left to see the before.
First shift today in north London as a @stjohn_ambulance vaccination volunteer. Was taught by a really lovely clinical pharmacist how to draw up 0.5ml Astrazenaca vaccine into a syringe, then put it into the deltoid muscle. Key is to get a good stretch on the skin, be bold and reasonably quick! Must have done about 60 vaccinations....completely knackered now.... was a really interesting and enjoyable day though.
Pls get your vaccine asap folks - protect yourselves and your families, as well as local businesses, most of which can't survive any more lockdowns.
